Getting to a point were I finally felt like my shots were justified to be in print form was a huge internal step to take. Technically, and emotionally; overcoming that sense of not feeling worth in what I do. “So Long, Lonesome” is the first step in that direction and very first photography print available through TST. Huge thank you to everyone who has been interacting with my work and building that confidence to breakthrough this barrier.

During this night of the launch and heading out to the coast, I had never imagined the shot that would have been captured and seen on my screen later that morning. With 2 delays during the countdown, I scrambled up and down the Indian River searching for the most isolated spot and kept coming up short.

After the clock hit around midnight and noticed the roads clearing up from people calling it a night from viewing, I decided to hit a spot I’ve always avoided from being busy. Rotary Park (Titusville, FL) always has an amazing view across the from the pads, and super long viewing dock. That subsequently gives almost perfectly centered view point to the LC-40 area, while looking down the railings. Ran a few more trajectory assessments to get a decent exposure cut off time for the linear streak and voilà! Cloud breakup was perfection with the timing, and got to edit and color grade in a cinematic way given the moody visuals captured.
